She has many portraits in private and business collections, including a portrait of Mary Ellen Jones that anchors the lobby of the Mary Ellen Jones building on the UNC campus, and one of Dr Richard Klausner, head of the National Cancer Institute, at the National Institute of Health, Bethesda.

Lindesay Harkness is a full Guild member of the Society for Classical Realism and a signature member of the Pastel Society of America.
